Abstract High-performance concrete formulation methods include concrete mixing, cellular sprayed concrete, and the application of an antifoaming agent to cellular concrete. Although these methods differ, in order to compare the strength and durability of concrete having a similar mix design, an experiment was conducted on basic properties such as air amount, slump, strength, and durability with the three different construction methods. The results revealed the following: (1) High-performance concrete constructed with the cellular concrete method showed higher compressive strength and durability than using the mixed cement method, and proved the superiority of the admixtures dispersion effect by cellular ball bearing. (2) Excessive use of an antifoaming agent has a popping blister effect, greatly reducing fluidity, and has a negative impact on durability because entrained air also pops. Particular caution is required when used with latex. (3) As a result of the durability index analysis through image analysis, it was found that the durability index suggested by Mindess and the Kansas Department of Transport can be secured when 3-5 % of air amount is secured.
