Abstract Two full-scale concrete OMF corner beam-column joint specimens with transverse reinforcement at the joint panel were fabricated and tested under reversed cyclic loading. The test variables were the application of high-performance fiber-reinforced cementitious composites (HPFRCCs) within the joint panel zone. The seismic behavior, including stiffness degradation, cumulative energy dissipation, and joint shear deformation of the specimens, was investigated according to the application of HPFRCCs. Test results revealed that the HPFRCC specimen reinforced with HPFRCC had higher strength capacity and cumulative energy dissipation capacities than the corresponding RC specimen. This indicates that the application of HPFRCC improves the seismic behavior of beam-column connections and could be used in the retrofit of connections in existing RC buildings.
