Abstract With increasing a significance of service life and durability in RC (reinforced concrete), repair and the related maintenance matter. RC structure, despite of singly constructed structure, is exposed to various exterior conditions such as sulfate contaminated soil, sea and underground water, spraying chlorides, and local carbonation. Additionally service life of each member and that of the integrated structure are evaluated to be different since they have different used materials, concrete mix proportions, and local environments, so that the total repair cost also differs. In this study, five different concrete members were selected and the total repair cost was evaluated considering each service life and evaluation method (deterministic and probabilistic method). Unlike deterministic method, the results from probabilistic method showed continuous repair cost with time and changed linearly with increasing service life. Probabilistic method can be applied economically through avoiding concentration of service life of member with expansive unit repair cost.
