Abstract PSC anchorage zone specimens with different yield strength and spacing of the anchorage reinforcements were designed based on the bearing capacity calculation method of PTI and Kwon et al. and their performance was evaluated through the load transfer test of ETAG 013. As a result of the test, the specimen reinforced with SD400 reinforcement at 60 mm spacings was evaluated to stably transfer high prestress to concrete in terms of maximum load, crack width, and strain. Whereas the specimen reinforced with SD500 reinforcement at 70 mm spacings did not satisfy the acceptance criteria of ETAG 013, and showed very inferior results to the bearing strength calculation based on PTI and Kwon et al. These results indicated that the increase in yield strength of the lateral confinement reinforcement has a limit in exerting the confined stress by the increased strain, and the yield strength of the confinement reinforcement should be used as a limited value in the confined stress equation.
