Abstract In this study, in order to investigate the field application of the activation agent injection method, full-scale concrete pumping tests were performed. The length of pipeline used in the pumping tests was 114 m, and the inside diameter of pipe was 127 mm. The specified strengths of concrete used in pumping tests were 60, 35, and 24 MPa. The flow rates of concrete were 38.3, 43.0, and 46.6 m3/h, respectively, in order of specified strength. The injection rate of activation agent was also fixed at 1 L/min. When the activation agent was injected during concrete pumping, the pressure was reduced up to 60 %. As an additional effect, it was confirmed that the decrease of workability of concrete after pumping can be alleviated by using the activation agent injection method.
