Abstract The aim of the research is to evaluate the adoptability of rapid evaluating method for the fineness of the supplied cement powder at ready mixed concrete plant. The suggested rapid evaluating method for cement fineness is using the hydrometer. When the hydrometer is used, the regression equation obtained from the relation between fineness of cement powder and temperature of medium and density change of the suspension is suggested. According to the experimental results, the density of the suspension was high with high fineness of the cement power, and the density decreasing speed of the suspension was fast with high temperature of the medium. From the conditions of the test, the suggested timing for measuring the density of the suspension is four minutes, and the regression equation of y=154 638x1 +162.71x2-157 346 can be suggested from the relation of four minute density of suspension (x1), and temperature of medium (x2) for the fineness of the cement powder (y).
